Video Review

The reviewer in the following video showed the look of the Skechers Equalizer on feet. He quickly talked about the mesh fabric upper and then went on to show the interior and the memory foam footbed. Briefly, he introduced the shock absorbing midsole and the well-designed outsole. Finally, he bent the shoe to show how flexible it is.

Additional Details

The Upper, midsole, and outsole are the parts that define a shoe. The upper part covers the back of the foot, the toe area and the instep. It’s the part that accommodates the foot and is usually fixed to the sole. The sole consists of the outsole and the midsole. A shoe can feature a removable insole or fixed insole, depending on its designed and functionality. The part that represents the middle layer of the sole is the midsole. It’s the area that is commonly designed for shock absorption. The area that makes direct contact with the ground is called the outsole. It’s specifically designed to provide good traction and some sort of supports during walking or running gait.

Find out more about the upper, midsole, outsole and insole of the Skechers Equalizer 2.0 below.

Upper
Top View

The slip-on design on the upper is a quick noticeable feature. Skech Knit Mesh fabric material keeps the shoe breathable while providing snug fit. It was designed to be breathable enough to keep the air in the inner part fresh and cool.

The collar is well padded to offer smooth feel and prevent the skin from irritation due to rubbing. The padded collar was designed to provide some level of comfortable feel at the ankle area.

Each side features gore panel to offer better fit and feel. Equalizer 2.0 interior has soft fabric lining which creates a great in-shoe feel.

Another fact about the shoe is its Relaxed Fit® construction which offers a roomier fit.

Midsole

Side View

The midsole is made of a flexible, lightweight, and shock absorbing material called Dual-density Dual-Lite. It was designed with flexibility and lightweight in mind.

Dual-density rubber sole technology usually provides higher wearing comfort and has good insulation properties against cold and heat.

The in-shoe features Air-Cooled Memory Foam footbed which delivers underfoot cushioning. The Air-Cooled Memory Foam footbed (insole) supports the midsole in absorbing shock and reducing impact force which therefore create a comfortable environment for the foot. Another good thing about the insole is its ability to keep the in-shoe air fresh and odourless.

Outsole
Outsole

The shoe features a well-designed non-marking rubber outsole. It was designed in a way that it won’t leave any mark or scratch on any surface while walking. So, it basically protects a polished floor from scuffs.

The outsole was also designed to protect itself from any abrasive surface. With the ability to withstand wear and tear, the platform becomes durable.

Some easy-to-spot pods and grooves are well positioned on the platform to enable easy bending of the foot during walking.

Bottom Line

The Equalizer 2.0 is a shoe many reviewers considered as the most comfortable shoe they have ever owned. The upper was design to be as breathable as possible and quite a good number of reviewers confirmed that it serves the purpose it was designed for. Most users seem not to have any problem with the overall design of the shoe, except a reviewer that complained about the footbed (Air-Cooled Memory Foam)

Those fans and people that are budget-conscious feel like the Skechers Equalizer 2.0 is a good option for them when it comes to affordable, comfortable, lightweight, and flexible athletic and casual walking shoe.

Below are some cool colourways you could add to your rotation.

Hello,

Excellent shoe ideal for people like me who for our work we must walk a lot. It is also to my liking that we can use it in our house because the sole is prepared for more delicate floors.

Another feature that I love is that it has no laces, it is light and flexible. Thank you very much for your well-done review.Greetings!

The quality of Skechers is undoubted, and the design in particular of the Equalizer 2.0 is very nice, although it is evident that it is not a shoe to exercise but rather to be comfortable at home or enjoy a relaxed weekend.I must say that I had never encountered a detailed analysis of shoes like yours. Thanks for that!

I so prefer slip-ons because they are so convenient to slip and off a lot quicker than shoes and lace-ups.  They are also good for wearing around the house, but at the same time, one could still use them to go to the shops as they look so stylish.

Personally, I’ve tried to make a very basic slip on with a thick rubber sole and scuba diving material for the shoe so it’s flexible and they are quite comfy, but not ergonomic as they don’t fit correctly, I would have to go back to the drawing board to see how I could improve it.

Making shoes is not an easy task, but I’m trying my hand at it and hope to find a winning pattern and formula.

Thanks for pointing out this particular brand and it’s good qualities.  Will bear that in mind while I create my own design!

O wow,

Few days back, I was just surfing around to buy a pair of kicks for my hubby and came across few informative posts detailing what to look for in, before buying a pair of shoes.

I although, got informed in the process, but honestly after reading your post, I feel lot more informed about the metrics that one should check before buying these pair of kicks.

Skechers Equalizer 2.0 slip looks great and I am gonna give it a try. Considering supportive footbed which offers additional comfort for the wearers, flexibility, breathability, and its being lightweight, this looks a good option.

Beautiful Comparison and Review !!

The products has several amazing features which will even prompt me to test it. I love the Equalizer 2.0 for the two purpose for an athletic and casual walking it serves. I had a similar type to it before but not sure is really the one, but to the review I really love it features that it has no laces, it is light and flexible. Hope I can get one Amazon.
