Additional Info on Adidas by Stella Mccartney Ultra Boost

Adidas and Stella Mccartney collaborated to release a new look of the Adidas Ultra Boost in 2015. Some men are not happy about this new release because the shoe was exclusively designed for women. Read more about the upper, midsole and outsole of the sneaker below.

Upper

The upper of the Adidas by Stella Mccartney Ultra Boost is made of primeknit and features neoprene overlay. For your information, neoprene is a synthetic polymer-like rubber that can withstand oil, heat and weathering. It gives the shoe a new look. The upper is stretchy and quite lightweight.

A pull tab is incorporated on the rear to enable easy slip on and off. This will helps people that are having difficulty putting their shoe on. People without any difficulty will also enjoy the fun of slipping on and off their Ultra Boost kicks. The rear also features heel counter. The heel counter is well located to enable the foot adapts natural movement for maximum support.

It has a drawcord-adjustable lacing system which gives wearers a chance to customise their fits. Some reviewers say the fit of the shoe is a bit on the big side. According to them, going half a size up than your normal size would be a better option.

Midsole

The midsole of the Adidas by Stella Mccartney feature boost foam which Adidas has been describing as their most responsive cushioning. The boost is made by compressing EVA pellets and moulding it into shape. The material is well recognised for its bouncy, springy and responsive effect. With the boost, your speed can be maximised on a track – the more energy you give, the more you get in return. So, it’s a great energy return material which propels you forward on every step.

Adidas Torsion system is incorporated in the midsole at the midfoot to stabilise the foot and allow the front and rear to flex naturally. This, in turn, offers better arch support to the foot.

Outsole

Compared to other versions of Ultra Boost shoes, there isn’t much difference on the outsole. The shoe still features the same Flexible Stretch Web outsole. The Stabilising Torsion System location is visible on the outsole.

The outsole of the Ultra Boost is designed to be flexible and provide good traction on an either wet or dry surface. It’s also capable of withstanding wear and tear.

Very interesting!

Sneakers for children included?  My son is approaching 10 and he is into very expensive designer wear.  I bought him some t clothes from H&M, but he chose an Adidas shirt instead.

Lesson learnt….I wonder where I can get fake look-a-likes as he is fast growing and will wear out expensive sneakers or trainers in less than a year.

Any ideas?  Meanwhile I absolutely love the site…

Hi Stella,

I wish I can direct you to a site where you can get a fake look-alike, but I don’t know one. What I will suggest is get the sneaker for your son where they are on sale.

First I thought Adidas collaborated with the first wife of the Beatle Paul McCartney. Sadly she has passed away over 20 years ago and then I remebered that her name was Linda, not Stella.
However, I think the shoes look really funky and appealing. Whoever Stella McCartney is, she seems to know what she is doing.
When it comes to sneakers I am wearing exclusively Adidas. Not sure why. Maybe three stripes as a company logo have a greater appeal to me than the goddess of victory or a wild mountain cat.
In my more feminine moments, I might even wear one of Stella’s shoes. Indoors only, of course.

You’re quite close Martin. Stella McCartney is a daughter of Paul and Linda McCartney.

Yeah, no one will judge you if you wear it indoor. However, you can get a bit more attention if you wear it outdoor.

I’m always looking for a good shoe especially because I have numbness in my feet.
A good shoe costs money and is worth it. You can’t buy cheap foot apparel anymore.
I’ve always felt that Adidas makes an excellent product and this shoe appears to be of that level as well.
I have to believe that Amazon has the best price. Am I correct?
I always want to know how long these last. Do you know how many steps you can get from these shoes?

I have to say Sneakersnstuff has the best price at the moment.

I don’t know exactly how long it will last, but the primeknit material is quite durable. I think I read somewhere that you could get up to 10K steps while do research on the shoe, but I’m not entirely sure.

Hope this helps.
